I kind of like not knowing exactly how many jumps I have left and/or calculating by hand how many jumps I have left, failing sometimes, being right others. there's a mod called Extended Pursuit Indicator that I'd say many people recommend. The one exception in amazing tier would be the. The weapons at the top of the list are consistently effective in almost any ship set-up. Since FTL is a game of RNG, you want to minimize any variance as much as possible. There's some mod that tells you what you need for the vanilla event choices (like giant alien spiders, etc.). I rate weapons on how well they 'carry their own weight', as in how well they stand alone with no other factors considered. I am looking for some quality of life mods doesn't the stack of power in the bottom left of the screen already do that? I don't think there's anything that could point out anything like that anyways. I'm not really sure what you mean by this. Maybe something that quickly displays how much power you have to allocate when you hover over there's also a random flagship generator if you find yourself getting bored by the same old flagship (drone surge is harcoded, but you change the drones, last stage surge is also hardcoded, but the artillery and layout isn't )) There's also many other mods which I didn't mention that I like such as the RAD Fleet which completely changes all of the player ships into different loadouts/themes, which I have enjoyed a lot, along with Randtrel which is like a player ship randomizer. Here's a similar thread in which I replied to in detail which mods I like: I myself got bored with the weapons and event variety in the base game. I wouldn't say any are "must-have" 's because opinions differ. Check out the Master Mod List for nearly a full list of mods, divided into the sections: game balance/world overhaul, player ships, ship gear, and visuals.
